Catching up

Sophie has been doing really well the last couple of weeks. We are definitely hearing a lot more sounds out of her. Lots of 'g' sounds, like glahglahglah or googoogaga (seriously, I've heard that). She will also laugh in turn with you back & forth. Today we were looking at the fish at the library's aquarium, and I told her not to scare them, and she went "Aah!" more than once. Also last weekend she started shaking her head "no", and has been doing it reliably since.

We also went to a company party where there was a boy who was maybe 4 or 5. Sophie wanted to give him kisses, but he was not having it. He ran off. Sophie laughed and chased him. They did this for quite a while. We were so excited to see this because usually she doesn't pay attention to other children.
