"I found him!"
Sophie was looking for a toy hippo that she had just been playing with. I was helping her look and I said, "Hippo?"
Then, she said, "Hippo, where are you?" a couple of times while she was looking. Then she saw it & said, "I found him! I found him!"
This sounds like a simple exchange, but I was very excited to hear it. It's a huge leap from a month or two ago, when she might have said 1 word, 'help' or 'hippo' or even 'I want hippo'.
I've noticed a lot of subtle things like this in the past month & keep thinking I need to document them.
