After 5 years 6 months and 3 days...

Sophie got her g-button taken out!  Yay!  We have not used it since April--she has taken meds, food, everything by mouth, which you have to do to prove you can go without it--and still gained some weight.  (she is 31 pounds 6oz and 39.75")  So today her GI doc removed it.

She was a little excited mostly by the prospect that she might get a sticker and some ice cream, but not near as excited as Stephanie and I are.  This is definitely going to be different for us.  We won't have to worry about it catching on things, or dealing with it and swimsuits, or it hurting her tummy when it's empty.   In fact, after we had Peter, it took me a few months to get used to the fact that he didn't have one, so I'm guessing this will be take even more getting used to.

Afterward, we went to Toys'r'us and she got a pizza play set.  Then, we came home and had ice cream and pretend pizza.
