Do you know what a cygnet is?

Sophie & I were reading stories tonight, and the last one we read was "The Ugly Duckling". After we read it, we went back to the beginning to talk about it. I asked if the baby swan grew up to look like the mama duck and if his egg looked like the other eggs. Sophie said, "No." I asked if he was a duckling after all. She said, "Maybe he's a cygnet." "That's right. Where did you learn that from?" "Mrs. M taught it to me." I was impressed.
