We had our consultation with the surgeon and scheduled a date for Sophie's surgery: October 20. The doctor explained everything to us and said that this sort of thing is really "routine" now. Isn't that crazy? Anyway, he was booked up through mid-September already because there are so many babies born in August-September, which surprised me. I thought February had to be the most popular time, but maybe this is the next. Anyway, at least now we have a plan. We can just not worry about it til then.
