Rained out

Today swim class got rained out. The person from the rec dept called and I had to break the news to Sophie. Then, things got very sad. There were tears and some bawling. I gave her hugs and explained that we'd go again, but it was dangerous to go in the rain so they had to cancel. I said we'd still go Friday. "And then we're all done *sniffle*". Well, no, there's 2 more weeks. Again, "and then we'll be all done *boohoo*". We can take the class again lots this summer. "But then in the fall, we'll be all done *sniffle*". Okay, clearly this was a case where cheering up was not going to work. I guess the bright side is that she really wants to go to swim class.
