Just kickin' it

Sophie's new favorite pasttime is kicking things: the wall, the rails
of her crib, my iPod, my bowl of cereal or anything else I'm holding
while she's laying on my lap, kicking out her feeding tube--always a
crowd pleaser, etc. She's really getting quite deliberate about it.
And she is getting much more dextrous with her hands now. She has
little difficulty grasping items or turning them in her hands. She has
also started to actually rattle rattles and is learning to bang them
on other things, for extra noise.

We are still working on getting into speech/eating therapy program.
Her evaluation was 7 weeks ago and they said it may take a few weeks
to get things processed and for a slot to open up. So I'm trying to
get ahold of someone to see what our status is, but it's difficult.

Stephanie is busy at work as the fall tax deadlines approacheth. She
is working more overtime than she had hoped, but not as much as last
year. Tomorrow night, I'm taking Sophie to San Antonio for a couple
days to visit and let Stephanie get some sleep.
