Late-night update
ready to go. Hopefully this is not a trend developing. She's also had
trouble napping during the day and is very agitated about it. But she
had one upper front tooth come in and is working on the second, so
maybe when that's over, we'll get a break.
Wednesday was her follow up appointment with the cardiologist. Things
are looking great. There was no fluid build-up, so we are able to
discontinue the diuretic medication that she's been on since she was a
week old. The doctor said the repairs and the new bloodflow patterns
still look very good, so we are thrilled. Her blood pressure was
still a little high, so she has to keep taking stuff for that for 6
more weeks. But we switched to a different medication that we only
have to give twice per day instead of 3x, can be given with food
(yay!), and is 1/4 as expensive. This should make life MUCH easier.
Maybe the best news was that since being discharged less than two
weeks ago, Sophie gained over half a pound, which makes her 13lbs
10oz. You can definitely tell she's chubbing up again. The double
wrists and ankles are back. She had plateaued at 13 lbs for so long,
so this is good. The tummy issues are back, but less than before. If
she can pack on a few more pounds, that might help them go away at the
end of her first year.
