1st Broken Arm
Well, the downside of the monkey bars is when you fall off them. Actually, this happened the day of the previous post (when she did them the first time). But it took a week or two to get it diagnosed. Right after it happened, I called the nurse and it seemed okay, but a week later, she would still have pain if it was moved a certain way, so they sent us to the urgent care clinic for x-rays. She has a small "spiral fracture of the upper radius".
The good news is that she only has to wear it for 2 weeks, so it will be off before the end of the school year and we can do swim classes and other activities. The hard part is the doctor told her no climbing, jumping, and she has to keep both feet on the ground. Yeah, right! Maybe if we tied her to a chair. I was actually glad they put her in a cast for a while, just so if she fell on it again, she couldn't hurt it more.
