cardiologist 5/28

Yesterday we had to take Sophie to a followup with the cardiologist. Everything went very well (except the echocardiogram--she was not happy about that at all). But the doctor was "very pleased" with Sophie's weight gain. She was 9lb4oz and has put on 25g/day since her last cardio visit, well within the 20-30g sweet spot and more than the 19g she gained the previous period.

The doctor said that the bloodflow to her lungs is improving. The pressure is dropping to them, which I think means more of the blood is going out the aorta, instead of through the hole and into the pulmonary artery because the hole is getting clogged with tissue. At least, that's how I think she meant it. Either way, it's a good thing.

Also, they did an electrolyte test and we don't have to give Sophie sodium chloride anymore. Plus, she doesn't need to see her back for two months this time. Yay for less doctor visits!
