Great news

We went to the cardiologist today for Sophie's 4mo followup. Her
doctor said everything looked great--so good that she doesn't want to
see her back for a whole year, instead of 6mos, like the next one was
supposed to be! It's been a year since her surgery (can you believe
that?), and the doctor said if the repairs were going to deteriorate
or scar up or something, it would have most likely started to happen
by now. The more time that goes by, the lower the odds of future
complications become.

The other good news is that Sophie has showed good weight gain over
the last 2 weeks. We knew that her average daily caloric intake had
gone up. So maybe the new formula is helping.

The only bad news is that she came down with the sniffles yesterday,
so that may hurt our ability to pack on the pounds for a few days.

But we're really excited about the heart thing. This essentially
means she's cured and will just need annual followups through
adolescence.
