slow going

Well, everyone here's been sick. Sophie has had a cold what seems like all winter. Then last Tuesday I got a stomach bug. That night Sophie had a fever and slept alllllll the next day. Then she was perking up a little, but by Friday had started coughing, so I took her to the pediatrician. He told us she had ear infections and put her on some more antibiotics. She's finally doing a little better and eating more, but it's been a long weekend. And now Stephanie sounds stuffy like she's coming down with a cold.

The other downside was that Sophie didn't get to go play in the blizzard we had. We got a DFW record 12" of snow in 24 hours. It was very beautiful--big, fluffy white flakes that stuck to everything. Now there are tree limbs down all over the place because of it. Twice in one winter is enough of that for me, thanks.

Before all this stuff set in, she'd been doing really good. She had decent weight gain for Dec/Jan and is now 22.5 pounds. Her GI doc said he was happy with how she was progressing and isn't recommending any more tests. Basically, he's certain she will eventually grow out of it. We also had her annual followup with the ortho doc and he said things looked good, as well. That's about it, for now.
