Weekend

This has been a busy weekend for Sophie visitor-wise. Saturday afternoon her cousin Taylor got to meet her. Then, last night we
had some Floresville cousins come by. This afternoon my best
friend and his wife got to come meet her. This is really nice. We
really want to take her home and show her off, but for now we have to
just enjoy visitors coming here. And it's kind of a hassle to come
out here, so we appreciate it.

Yesterday was kind of a bottle-feeding setback. She took 14mL in the
afternoon with difficulty and then for the pm feed she really wouldn't
take anything. I think she was having tummy problems, which
contributed to that.

Today though, she did really good and took 26 before her time ran out.
She is getting to where when she first starts, she will drink for a
long time without letting go or spilling any. I've seen this 3 times
since Thurs where she took 10, 6, and today 10 right off the bat with
no problems. The rest of the session will be tougher with more
spilling and difficulty swallowing. But today after that initial
burst, she did a much better job of regulating how much she took in,
waiting til it went down, and starting up again on her own without me
having to coax her.

So hopefully if we put all this together, plus the findings from the
study tomorrow, we'll be on the road to getting out of here.
