Standby for babyproofing

It looks like in the past 2 days Sophie has figured out putting one
hand in front of the other. Before, she could easily get up on all
fours and rock, and move her feet forward, but her hands stayed
planted. So getting to an object involved a series of rolls,
scooches, and lunges. But now she's definitely going right after
things. I'm not sure it's a crawl yet, but it's darn close. Oh, and
of course her absolute favorite things to go after are the feeding
tube and the little red backpack that holds her food and the pump.
Fun fun!

We were hoping sitting up would come before this. We're still working
on that. Sometimes she does pretty good, but often tries to
etraighten out and fling herself backward when you prop her up. Her
therapist said this might be due to her tummy being squished when her
legs are drawn up. Hopefully that may improve since her GI doc put
her back on antacids (nexium this time). . But they can take a week or
two to kick in, and it may take a couple months for the irritation to
heal.

And for five days we have to give another med to coat & soothe her
stomach and esophagus. This one is fun because it's 4x/day and
supposed to be 2hrs after & 1hr before meals, which would be
impossible since she is literally always eating. We had switched to a
slow, continuous feed that seemed to help with the spitups, so we had
to go back to bigger meals for this. The dr did say we could compress
it and do 30min after & before eating--in other words in the middle of
a 1hr break, which is still hard enough. But it's only until
Wednesday, at least.

Okay, I'm sure that was too much detail.
